Photo Wedding Thank You Design 21
| 1-Sided | 2- Sided | Folding | Panel 1 | Panel 2 |
This is a "suggestion" of a 1-Sided Design. You can base a 1-Sided invitation off of this panel from this design group, or pick another panel from the group. You may have us modify the design in any way. Among the things you can change are the colors, photo placement, word placement, font, border, etc. Anything can be changed.

This is a "suggestion" of a 2-Sided Design. You can base a 2-Sided invitation off of these panels from this design group, or pick other panel combinations from the group. Or, pick one panel from this group and other panel from another design group. You may also have us modify the design panels themselves in any way. Among the things you can change are the colors, photo placement, word placement, font, border, etc. Anything can be changed.

This design has just two panels. This doesn't mean you can't have a Folding RSVP. If you want a Folding one, just find design panels for the other 2 sides, or adapt these panels for the other sides. Again, you can change anything.

Folding Card Layout: The positioning of the panels on a folding card can be confusing. The following graphic illustrates where the panels will go. Note on Horizontal Cards: If you were to set a horizontal card on a table (like the illustration), the 1st and 4th panels would both be right-side up. Also, if you were to lay the card flat the two panels would be up-side down and right-side up respective to each other. But when the card is folded, they are in the same orientation. Panels 2&3 are one on top of another when opened, and in the same orientation.

This panel is designed to go with this group, but it may go well with panels from other groups (if your card has more than one side printed). You may have us modify the design in any way. Among the things you can change are the colors, photo placement, word placement, font, border, etc. Anything can be changed.

Photo Requirements: If you want your photo wedding invitation to match this design, then you will need to submit photos that are similar to the ones pictured. (For example, if the layout has a horizontal photo in a position, then it would be best if you submit a horizontal photo for that position). If you submit photos that don't fit perfectly -- no problem. We will build around your photos (these are custom invitations), but we will try to stay to the look of the layout you requested. Allof our Designs feature color photos, but you can send black and white ones - no problem. And we can easily turn a color photo black and white for you.
Photo Size Requirements: If you send us photos taken from an old camera phone, then they probably won't be big enough for anything but the smallest photos on any of our designs. There needs to be a certain number of pixels in each photo for them to not look "blurry," "pixelated," or "grainy" (those words describe photos that are enlarged more than they should have been). Here are some guidelines with optimal sizes:
- Large Photos (fill a whole 5x7" panel): 2000 x 1500 pixels, aka "3.0 Mega Pixels" (MP), when saved as a high-quality .jpg it is about a 1000 KB (1.0 MB) file.
- Medium Photos (fills roughly ½ of the panel): 1500 x 1000 pixels, aka "1.5 MP," when saved as a high-quality .jpg it is about a 500 KB file.
- Small Photos (fills less than ¼ of the panel): 640 x 480 pixels. aka "0.3 MP," when saved as a high-quality .jpg it is a about a 100 KB file.
If you are having a friend or family member take your engagement photos, please have them read our "Photo Tips" page. Perhaps the most important tip in there is to make sure you have the images saved at a high enough setting. A 6 MP camera doesn't always take 6 MP photos. The camera can be set to save much smaller photos (which is tempting to do because it allows more photos to be saved on one card). In other words, you can even take unusable photos with a 12 MP camera if the settings are wrong.
Copyright Issues: You must either be the copyright owner of your photos, or have their permission to use the photos for us to be able to use them in your photo wedding invitations.
If these pricing charts give you a headache, you can check out our "Pricing Estimator" which will calculate a pricing estimate for you. You just type in your quantities and it will calculate the costs as well as tell you the price per card.
You might also want to read our full pricing policies.
If you don't know what we mean by "Main Item" and "Additional Items" in the chart below, read the "Quick Info" Pricing link above and to the left.
Wedding Invitations are recommended to be 5 x 7". You can make them 1-Sided, 2-Sided, or Folding, but in many cases it is best to make them 5 x 7". This is especially true if you want to include any inserts (including RSVP cards), as you need the larger main envelope to fit the Invitiation and the inserts.

On Placing an Order
Once you know what type of invitation you want to order (size, paper type, number of sides, design, etc.), you can fill out our "order form." Here are some things to keep in mind when you are filling out the form:
- You are not really ordering your final invitations just yet. Instead you are commissioning a design of your invitations Once you approve a final proof, you finalize the order by giving us your final count and paying the balance.
- Because these are completely custom invitations, you do have to answer a lot of questions about your design preferences. You might want to look over the form and see what information you will need to gather and submit before you begin to fill out the form.
- That information includes all of the photos you want in the design(s), all of the wording you want included, any fonts you want changed, and other services you are interested in. This form accepts all of that information, so you might want to gather it (and run it through a spell checker) before you fill it out, especially because . . .
- If you leave the order page after you start filling out the form, the information might be lost.
- For that reason, you will notice a lot of pop-up pages we have placed on the order page. You might have to allow pop-ups for our site (if you have a pop-up blocker). These pop-ups allow you to quickly see (and refresh your memory about) options and information that is on other pages. These include a design gallery and font catalog, to name a couple.
- After submitting the order (and waiting for the photos to upload), you will be directed to a page where you pay the $30 design commision/ deposit. We cannot begin work without that. If you don't know about this $30 fee, click on "How This Works" under "Quick Info."
Place an Order: You can place an order now, but it is recommended that you first read all of the information below.
Each Wedding Card comes with: FREE Shipping, 5 free emailed proofs, hard copy option, and basic retouching. For full details, familiarize yourself with all of the "Quick Info" links above and to the left.
| Envelopes: Any card can come with envelopes or not. The price difference (any size or quantity) is $0.10 more for a card with envelopes. Envelopes are ether white or ecru (an off-white/ cream/ ivory color -- like this background color). 5x7" Envelopes are square flap. 3.5x5" envelopes are "v" flap. 4x6" envelopes only come in white and are square flap. |
Fully Customizable!: You can change anything on the cards. Of course adding your own photos and text will make them custom anyway, but you can also have us change colors, backgrounds, and fonts as well. Look at our Background, Color, and Font catalogs for more options. You may also ahsve us make any photo black and white.
Wedding Card Prices: The price per card depends mainly on quantity, but also on size and sides printed. To find the price that fits your budget best, click on the "Photo Card Prices" above. For a quick look at prices, check out the "Pricing Estimator"
Wedding Card Size: The card sizes and the ability to print 2-Sided (or not) depends on the paper type.
- Photo Paper: 5 x 7" or 4 x 6" cards, ONLY 1-sided printing
- Cardstock: 5 x 7" or 3.5 x 5" cards, 1 or 2-sided printing, Plus Folding (4-sided printing)
Note: 5x7" is recommended for all Invitations, but if you don't have a lot of text, then the smaller sizes may work. Announcements and Save the date cards often work fine on smaller cards. You need enough space to make room for legible wording. It mainly comes down to the number of lines you need on each panel. If you want to do a 3.5 x 5" invitation, you max out at about 12 lines of text per panel. If you want a 4 x 6" invitation, you max out at about 15 lines. For a 5 x 7" invitation, you max out at about 20 lines. Now we can fit more lines in, but the text becomes smaller and smaller. If you are getting a multi-sided 3.5 x 5" card, then you can break up the invitation over multiple panels. In the end, however, if you have a lot of text you should probably go for a 5 x 7".
Ordering:
Once you have read the information above, you are ready to order the design of your card(s). The order page will have reminders of our designs, so you can look up designs if you forget what you want. However, like the "Before Placing an Order" box suggests, it is best if you first take notes on how you want your card designed and how you want your wording before you order.
